Designate all nodes as possible owners for DB01 and DB02 to ensure the cluster resource comes online automatically after a failover.

Steps:

To designate all nodes as possible owners for resources like DB01 and DB02 in a Windows Server Failover Cluster (WSFC), you can follow these steps. This ensures that the cluster resource comes online automatically after a failover. Here’s how you can do it:

Using Failover Cluster Manager

  1. Open Failover Cluster Manager:
    • Click on Start, type Failover Cluster Manager, and open it.
  2. Navigate to Resources:
    • In the left pane, expand your cluster and go to Roles.
    • Locate the role that contains DB01 and DB02.
  3. Configure Possible Owners:
    • Right-click on the role and select Properties.
    • In the Properties window, go to the Owner Nodes tab.
    • Here, you can see the current possible owners for the resources.
  4. Add Possible Owners:
    • To designate all nodes as possible owners, select all nodes in the list.
    • Click OK to apply the changes.

Note: Make sure DB01 and DB02 check boxes checked as preferred owners and save the settings.
